Plain and Beautiful Saskatchewan...

My social life in Saskatoon is basically reduced to being my pregnant sister's handmaiden (my job is to accompany her to restaurants and eat) and sitting in my coupled friends' living rooms drinking tea or watching movies with their fiancees(LAME, DEPRESSING), yet I do love Saskatoon all in all.
I'm trying to fill a creative void because I can't seem to write lately -- so I've been trying to teach myself how to use my camera. Here's Saskatchewan for ya.

That's my little niece or nephew in there.

The reason this lady looks so sad is because she has endured many basketballs and hockey pucks to the face and has overheard many family fights.

Cute old mammers.

The best thing that's happened lately is I've started waitressing at the coolest, grungiest bar in Saskatoon, Amigos. It's where all the decent bands play. I've seen maybe 20 bands there that play at Lee's Palace or the Mod Club when they hit Toronto, yet here it's a place where everybody knows your name. And I get to get all glammed up in a rock and roll sort of way. Plus talk with people who are not my family or in couple mode, as everyone else in my life is, so it's good for me if you get my drift.
Oh here's a funny Saskatoon anecdote. Apparantly last winter there was an article that hit the local newspaper about how one of the Saskatoon Blades (our hockey team) played an entire game with a skate that felt like it had a sock bunched up in it. He took the skate off in the dressing room and it turned out that he had played the game with a mouse in his skate. And it was still alive!
Golly.
Oh yes, and another good thing going on right now is that I'm getting hooked up with guitar lessons.
More latron.
