A Pat on the Back
This is just a quick note to say that I'm here in London and I'm safe.
Mom and Dad, you got my email, right?
I am five minutes away from being able to sleep so this has got to be quick. I have had 2 hours sleep in the past 40 hours. I had to pay Zoom 100 dollars extra because I packed too much! That sucked! Don't even want to talk about it. The flight was ok though, despite the fact that I was seated between two couples in their twenties. Boo. Not a good start when just in the last week I've been apprehensive about travelling alone. My irritation was turned to smugness soon however. After only one -one!- glass of red wine, the girl spilt it and drenched us all. Then an hour later she became nauseous and threw up periodically for the next 3 or 4 hours. I totally caught on to her boyfriend or fiance's lame trick for consoling her. He was actually trying to get some sleep in while she was puking! He had his eyes closed -- and she was hunched forward and too nauseous to notice. But I noticed. He had his hand on her back and would periodically be stirred from his sleep and would giver her a few pats. Whatever. I don't know their story. Maybe he had just had the flu and he needed his rest - but Mrahhhahhaha.
Now I'm going to bed. I went to research London's Little Italy for that article I'm writing so that I could get that out of the way.
Wish I could upload photos , but I can't until I can access wireless on my laptop.
I ate a bag of chips flavoured "Lamb and Mint" today. It was a totally mainstream brand too. That seemed quite English and I think I will get another bag.
Molly and Sam are being very hospitable and have a lovely house.
Bye.
